PTA Should
- PTA
Should be dealing in the world of ideas not just in
coffee pots and playground equipment.
- PTA
Should be concerned about children not just the
secretary’s minutes and treasurer’s report.
- PTA
Should do its own housekeeping
with promptness—the committee planning, the refreshments, the
money-raising projects—and then should launch courageously into the real
challenge of the day.
- PTA
Should be dialogue between parents and youth – a
conversation about themselves.
- PTA
Should take an active part in a
building a better world not just fighting the ghosts of criticism.
- PTA
Should be concerned with the critical issues of today –
morals and values, the discouraged homes, the depressed communities.
- PTA
Should be finding creative solutions to the two most
critical problems of our day – the overwhelming number of people and the
mushrooming growth of knowledge.
The PTA Member

The PTA Member…
…is the most important person in our association.
The PTA Member…
…is not dependent upon us, we are
dependent upon the member.
The PTA Member…
…is not an interruption of our
work, he is the purpose of it.
The PTA Member…
…is part of our association, she
is not an outsider.
